Manuals

Step-by-step reference guides for Ableton Live, FL Studio, and Cubase — setup, shortcuts, and workflows.

Ableton Live

Live Workflow

  • Start from a project template with default return tracks for reverb and delay.
  • Use Group Tracks to nest drums, bass, and vocals for quick sub-mix control.
  • Warp modes: Beats for drums, Complex Pro for melodic samples, Re-Pitch for one-shots.
FL Studio

FL Workflow

  • Pattern mode is for writing short loops; the Playlist arranges them into a full song.
  • Route channels to mixer inserts with color-coded labels for drums, bass, vocals, and FX.
  • Use the Picker panel to quickly clone and mute patterns while arranging.
Cubase

Cubase Workflow

  • Save a project template with input/output bussing, track presets, and a marker track.
  • Key commands: Ctrl/Cmd + B for bounce, Alt + S for solo, and the Logical Editor for batch edits.
  • VST Connect lets remote collaborators record directly into your Cubase project.
